The panel discussionAlmost everyone has been talking about “green” jobs. Or you may have heard someone talking about the “green” economy. But do you really know what these terms mean or even recognize how you can use your skills into embarking on a new “green” career?

But you shouldn’t worry any longer because the UW-Madison’s Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies will be helping you understand the “green” lingo. Green and Eco Friendly Jobs Drive New Green Education

Green Jobs encouraged the development of new green educational coursesGoing green is not just reusing, recycling and reducing anymore, it has reached a full blown lifestyle choice including educational courses. In his all out effort to lead the nation to be energy efficient and increase employment rate, Pres. Barack. Obama invested more than $80 billion on renewable resources and constructing two solar panel plants. In so doing, some educational institution created environmental curriculum or course to compensate the growing demands for green jobs.

With the growing environmental issues and increase in demand of resources, different colleges and universities offer environmental and energy related courses to prepare students and equipped them with necessary skills to leverage them with in-demand green jobs. To give you an idea on educational institutions with environmental commitment and offering green education, Princeton Review and the U.S. Green Building Council released a Guide to Green College to see the nation’s most eco-friendly campus.
